Internalized Racial Oppression Workshop I

This workshop provides participants with an overview of the process whereby the people who are the targets of negative, demeaning and dehumanizing beliefs accept and internalized those messages.  We look at structures created to institutionalize dominance and subjugation of people. We will explore local laws, federal legislation, and the cultures that enable their development during periods from pre-American Revolutionary War to the Civil Rights Movement.
